As part of its commitment to sustainability and community well-being, Evonith Steel co-organized the Grand Cyclothon in Wardha, bringing together participants across age groups to promote environmental awareness and healthy living. The event saw enthusiastic participation from children, youth, women, and senior citizens, turning the streets into a celebration of fitness, unity, and collective action.

In collaboration with local partners and the cycling community, the initiative highlighted cycling as a simple yet powerful step towards reducing pollution and encouraging active lifestyles. Participants were also given saplings and reusable bottles, reinforcing the message of sustainability. The Cyclothon reflects Evonith Steel’s continued efforts to drive meaningful change and build a healthier, greener future for the community.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood Donation Camp

As part of its commitment to community well-being, Evonith Steel organized a blood donation camp to support critical healthcare needs and promote voluntary donation. Conducted in collaboration with a local medical team, the initiative saw active participation from employees and the surrounding community, resulting in the collection of 50 units of life-saving blood. The camp also helped raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation, with strong involvement from women and youth adding to its impact.

Through such health-focused initiatives, Evonith Steel continues to contribute to building healthier communities while reinforcing its commitment to meaningful social impact.

BVB Lloyds Vidya Niketan Volunteer Project

BVB Lloyds Vidya Niketan Volunteer Project

Students from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Lloyds Vidya Niketan are contributing to an education initiative by teaching spoken English at Inzapur Zilla Parishad School through interactive and peer-led methods. With self-developed learning materials and dedicated time on the ground, they are creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

The initiative not only strengthens communication skills among rural students but also helps volunteers develop leadership, empathy, and a broader perspective, laying the foundation for a growing peer learning program between the two schools.

MMU

The Mobile Medical Unit initiative delivers essential healthcare services to 25 villages across Wardha and Malkapur, improving access to primary care in rural and underserved communities. Our medical health van reaches close to a thousand people each month with free check-ups and medication, led by a skilled team of a female doctor and nurse addressing everyday health concerns.

The program plays a vital role in strengthening rural healthcare delivery through accessible and quality medical services. Going forward, it will continue to focus on preventive care, health awareness, and expanded outreach to support long-term community well-being.

Infrastructure Support

Infrastructure Support

Our infrastructure initiatives focus on improving essential facilities across communities. This includes repairing sanitation facilities at Zilla Parishad schools in Inzapur and Selukate, repainting community spaces in Chitoda, and installing water filtration systems in Bhugaon and Selukate.

We have also supported local development by supplying slag for construction, undertaking improvement work at the Co-operative Bank in Wardha, and providing desks and benches to schools in Selukate to enhance the learning environment.

On 9th and 10th December 2025, Rural Sports Day was organized across 20 villages in the Wardha region, bringing together 1,100 participants. The event featured Kabaddi, Cricket and Kho Kho, providing a structured platform for rural athletes, women, and youth to showcase their talent while promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and community engagement.

The initiative also encouraged active participation at the grassroots level, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and strengthening community bonds. It served as an important step towards identifying local talent and promoting a culture of sports in rural areas.

Kabaddi Excellence Program

Sports play a vital role in the overall development of an individual, fostering discipline, confidence, and teamwork. As part of this vision, Evonith Steel has launched the Kabaddi Excellence Program with its team, “Evonith Yodhas”, comprising talented boys and girls from local communities.

The initiative works towards shaping promising athletes through guided training, technical development, and holistic support, including nutrition. To further strengthen this initiative, Evonith Steel has developed a dedicated indoor kabaddi court and provides comprehensive support to players, enabling them to train in a professional and well-equipped environment.

The program is designed to support young athletes, encourage a strong sports culture, and enable them to progress to higher levels.

Project Unnati focuses on improving sexual and reproductive health among adolescents and young adults through awareness, education, and better access to healthcare services. It also addresses important social issues, including domestic violence, by educating both men and women and encouraging open dialogue. Through these efforts, the initiative promotes informed choices, healthier behaviours, and more equitable communities.

Various sessions and workshops are conducted to raise awareness and educate communities on key health and social issues.

The initiative supports vulnerable families and local groups by enabling sustainable livelihood opportunities through goat rearing. It has helped create a steady source of income, improve household nutrition, and strengthen financial stability, especially for those with limited resources.

Along with livestock support, continuous guidance on better animal care and management practices is provided, helping improve productivity and reduce risks. Through this approach, families can build stronger livelihoods while moving towards greater self-reliance and long-term resilience.

A workshop on goat milk based handmade soap was organized at MGIRI, Wardha for SHG members, providing hands-on exposure to value addition. Participants learned the process of soap making, along with quality aspects and market potential of goat-based products. The initiative focused on building entrepreneurial skills, encouraging product diversification, and enabling participants to scale their livelihoods through innovative income opportunities.

Fertility Camps for Cattle

Fertility camps for cattle are regularly organized to address health and reproductive issues while providing timely veterinary support. These camps focus on improving livestock productivity through early diagnosis, treatment, and continuous follow-up.

Alongside treatment, farmers are guided on proper nutrition, regular health check-ups, vaccination, and improved breeding practices. This approach helps reduce infertility, enhance milk yield, and strengthen income from dairy activities.

Mobile advisory support is provided to farmers through Sanvadini, offering timely guidance and easy access to agricultural information. In addition to telephonic assistance, on-field visits ensure practical, real-time solutions to crop-related challenges. This initiative focuses on strengthening rural livelihoods through sustainable and improved animal husbandry practices. It includes advanced breeding methods, better fodder cultivation, and access to essential tools that enhance livestock care and productivity. The program also extends support to vulnerable groups through livestock-based livelihood opportunities, helping build financial independence. Overall, the initiative contributes to improved breed quality, higher productivity, and more efficient livestock management, making it a reliable source of income for rural families.

Sustainable Climate Resilient Agriculture

Our initiative promotes sustainable farming through practices such as soil testing, seed development, climate-resilient cropping, vegetable cultivation, and continuous farmer support through the Sanvandini call center. This integrated approach has helped farming families adopt improved practices, leading to better yields, increased incomes, and reduced risks. Timely guidance and access to resources have enabled farmers to make informed decisions and strengthen their overall productivity.

Faces of Impact

Neelima Nikhil Nival from Bhiwapur village has been actively contributing as a Female Mobilizer under the Evonith Steel supported Unnati Project for the past nine months. 

At the Zilla Parishad Primary School in Nandora, Sevagram, Pramila Satishrao Hatekar had been witnessing the gradual decline of the school’s condition over the years. 

Urmila Ravindra Nikode, a 28-year-old from Selukate village, always wished to contribute to her family’s income while managing her responsibilities at home.
